// The product

What it does

An AI-powered interactive storytelling platform for children aged 5–12. Kids pick a mood, choose an adventure, make choices through a branching story, reflect on how they feel — and parents get a simple insights dashboard with conversation starters.

Not a therapy platform, diagnostic tool, or mental health assessment — emotional literacy through storytelling.

Five-screen journey

  • Welcome & Mood Selection — Happy, Sad, Angry, Nervous, Excited, Confused
  • Story Recommendations — mood-matched adventures
  • Interactive Story — e.g. Rex's First Day at School
  • Reflection — mood → story → final emotion
  • Parent Dashboard — insights & conversation starters

AI features (MVP)

  • Story recommendation — mood in → relevant stories out
  • Insight generation — choices + reflection → parent-friendly summary

Primary KPI: Story Journey Completion Rate

Amazing. You managed to write a tech design with all the difficulties you faced with Kiro installation due to space constraints. Not only writing it from another AI tool but also you had time to ship it. Congratulations!

Next steps: prompt engineering to rely less on prompt tools, and a clearer restart flow after pausing the story.

Komal wrote a full product spec (screens, data model, AI constraints, disclaimer) and shipped a polished prototype in one workshop session — despite Kiro install issues on a space-constrained machine.

One thing learned

There are multiple tools available to build your product — it's not about which tool you use, but how refined the product is.
